PIQ - LADDER

Postby euroventure » Tue Jan 03, 2017 10:25 pm

how does cymatic trader calculate the PIQ on the ladder,

also the other evening I trade 1,40, 1,45, 1,50 on the layside, when I go to close the position on the ladder, it places my back bet at 1,40 where I had place my first lay bet, is this automatic and how do I choose another back price for example 1,50 to closeout,

Hi euroventure,

Thanks for your message.

The PIQ calculation is based on a number of factors and is pretty accurate but occasionally includes estimates, as mentioned here in a similar discussion:
http://www.cymatic.co.uk/forum/topic1258.html?hilit=piq%20estimate#p5761

I don't know what part of the software you used to automatically send the opposing back bet, so I can't give a precise answer to your quetion. Perhaps you clicked to green up at the top of the ladder, which would have sent the back bet at the prevailing best available price. In which case, if you prefer, you can instead choose the price at which to green up by using the 'Green To' column in the ladder.

Kind regards,

Gavin
