... please also check that you don't have any proxy set in Internet Explorer (I don't know but the installation may be defaulting to those settings, even if you are using a different browser):
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/change-internet-explorer-proxy-server-settings#1TC=windows-7

Also ensure that you are logged into your PC as an administrator, not a limited permissions user.

Hi Gavin,

I have done some scans and repairs with my Windows 8.1 system but to no avail. Still the same problem.

I've also google a bit and changing/modifying the web.config file could be a solution. But I really don't know how to do it.

If you don't have any further suggestions I could think about two more options:

1.) I could grant you remote access to my laptop and you could try and check by yourself what the problem is

2.) I update my OS to Windows 10 (did you test the software already on Windows 10?)

Cheers,

Hi bamthwok,

Yes, Windows 10 works fine with Cymatic, I am using Windows 10 here.

This search result that I found in Google looks very promising:

Problem:

Your guest tries to run your support client app like normal and clickonce stops and gives this error (found in the "Details"):

....
ERROR DETAILS
Following errors were detected during this operation.
* [5/12/2014 3:48:08 PM] System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException
- Error creating the Web Proxy specified in the 'system.net/defaultProxy' configuration section.
- Source: System
.....

Solution:

After seeing there is absolutely no proxy present on the system/being used, and that there is no network drive involved (just a plain vanilla workstation setup), try running the command prompt with administrator privileges and typing "netsh winsock reset"

Then reboot.

Trying to open up Bot comes up with message:-
Unexpected error checking license. Please contact Licensor. Error Details: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

I have Windows 10 installed and have checked the Language and Region settings and are all set to English (United Kingdom) although I think your Cymatic Software may have been originally installed with the default Windows 10 English (United States).
I have also tried Uninstalling/Re-installing as suggested in Forum but am still getting the same error message as above.

Help please

Hi crstokes,

The fact that it was previously installed whilst your PC was set to US English is causing the problem.

Please remove the program and then run this command:

rundll32 %windir%\system32\dfshim.dll CleanOnlineAppCache

Just run that command at a command prompt in Windows.

I think that should do it, but you may need to also delete all the some files in the user profile:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

For example:
C:\Users\Gavin\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

Delete all the contents of that folder.

Kind regards,
Gavin

Hi crstokes,

You actually need to delete absolutely everything inside that directory, including all the strange named folders.

Then reinstall Cymatic.

Kind regards,
Gavin
