Thanks for those details.

The first solution is simply to delete the all contents of a particular directory, as mentioned earlier in this topic/discussion. Jump to the message that explains it by clicking the following link:

If that doesn't work, then I wonder if you are using Norton anti-virus by any chance? Another user reported the exact same error as you, which I suspect may have been caused by Norton Anti-Virus corrupting his Windows user profile on his PC. He had to setup a new user in Windows because his existing windows user profile seemed to have become corrupted. Please see that discussion here:

Try the first suggestion mentioned above first (i.e. deleting files to clear the ClickOnce cache directories). Adding a new Windows user is a last resort solution.

Olá, após baixar em meu computador, tento abrir e aparece a mensagem que não é possível iniciar o aplicativo, instruindo para entrar em contato com o fornecedor do aplicativo. O que faço?

A primeira solução é simplesmente apagar todo o conteúdo de um diretório específico, como mencionado no início deste tópico/discussão. Saltar para a mensagem que explica-lo clicando no seguinte link:

Se isso não funcionar, então eu me pergunto se você estiver usando o Norton antivírus por acaso? Outro usuário relatou o mesmo erro exato como você, que eu suspeito que pode ter sido causado pelo Norton antivírus corrompendo seu perfil de usuário de Windows em seu PC. Ele tinha que configurar um novo usuário no Windows, porque seu perfil de usuário do windows existente parecia ter sido corrompido. Por favor, veja essa discussão aqui:

tente a primeira sugestão mencionada acima o primeiro (ou seja, excluindo arquivos para limpar os diretórios de cache do ClickOnce). Adicionar um novo usuário do Windows é uma solução de último recurso.

I have installed the software on my home computer without a problem but I'm having a problem installing the software on my works computer. I have followed your instructions for uninstalling and re-installing, including the check of the registry (nothing there after the uninstall), and the deletion of the subfolders but all to no avail. I am running Windows 10 with .Net framework 4.6.1. The error file shows the details below.

Thanks for contacting me.

I found another forum section in which a user reported the exact same message. It was probably being caused by an anti-virus software interfering, but it was finally fixed once he deleted the following directory, replacing USERNAME with your actual username on your PC (So this is the path to delete if you are using Windows 10):

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

So replacing USERNAME with your actual username on your PC, which appears to be mmccart2 judging from the details in the error message, so delete the contents of:
C:\Users\mmccart2\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

It also contains a bit of information about the Cymatic program file, in case that proves helpful in telling your anti-virus software to not block the software.

Are you using a different anti-virus software or security software on the works computer, different to the home computer?

Hi Gavin,

Tried that but it still comes up with the same error and the deleted files/folders are reinstalled by the Cymatic install.

My work computer runs Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 but I do not get any notifications from that of any problem when I try to install Cymatic.

Hi martin907,

Sometimes this type of error might occur if there is a corrupt user profile on the computer. So, please consider testing this by setting up a new Windows user on the computer and then login as that user and try installing Cymatic for that Windows user. If that works, then it will indicate that your original user profile has got some errors in it. So going forward, to use Cymatic, you would choose to first login to Windows as the new Windows user whenever you want to use Cymatic. Or you might then look for ways to fix or rebuild the original user profile to fix any errors in it so that you can install Cymatic in the old Windows user profile, or simply migrate your use of Windows entirely to the new user profile and move any documents etc. over from the old profile to the new one and then stop using the old Windows login.
