Firstly uninstall the software if it appears in the list in Windows Control panel.

If you had a failed installation, then you can also follow the instructions in the following post and the document attached to it:

That will remove the software from your computer, including any failed installation.

HI having read first in the forum what to do about will not install and even dl the pdf and regedit and removed all traces and totally disabled all anti virus it still will not work I have pasted the error details below please help I HAVE ONLY HALF A HEAD OF HAIR LEFT from tearing my hair out an I thought I was pc win 10 savvey?? The essence of the error message is this bit:
The application binding data format is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B2)

This sounds like a problem with the .NET Framework on your computer.

I therefore think it ought to be resolved by using the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool.

If the repair tool doesn't solve it, then please try uninstalling the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.0 from your computer and re-installing it from here Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.0.

Hi Neltecsoft,

OK please do this instead:

1. Uninstall Cymatic (using Windows Control Panel - Programs - Uninstall a Program).

2. Please open File Explorer in Windows and browse to the following directory:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0
To browse to it, you can copy the above text to the File explorer address bar.

This will send you to a location similar to this:
C:\Users\Gavin\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0
(but with your Windows username instead of Gavin).

3. Delete the contents of the 2.0 sub directory, leaving just the 2.0 directory itself with nothing in it.

4. Reinstall Cymatic.

Thanks for your patience.

I am surprised that deleting the sub-directories mentioned didn't solve the problem as that seems to be the accepted solution that I found by googling this error. Are you absolutely sure that you deleted the entire contents of the subdirectory that I mentioned?

What version of Windows are you using?
