I've been working on gathering data from the beginning of the year, and although there are 5,840 race results so far, when you break it down it's not really a lot. So with that in mind, here's a list of favs/2nd favs and how they fair at todays (22/08/15) meetings.

Although there will be lots more work to do, it does open up some interesting questions and posibilities.

For example, the handicap races at Sandown, Fav's win 48.7% of the time, while 2nd favs only win 17.7% . Maybe back the fav and lay the 2nd? While in the handicaps at York, their records are quite similar (leave it alone?), and the handicaps at Chester, both the 1st and 2nd favs records are bad, 18.6% and 19.3%, maybe lay both?

I'll carry on and start uploading 2014 results and see how it goes from there.
