I've seen a few posts where people are asking for something along the lines of the above.

They do contain a small macro, so don't be worried if a warning message pops up.
I intend to post a sheet daily for each days ratings, and any suggestions/feedback will be welcome.

You'll see a couple of changes, I've added two more paramaters (weight lbs and course record), and separated the win and place % and added and included an overall % on which the rankings are now based.

Creating my own ratings (see attached) using the sheet supplied. Encouraging results with the favs but a few things need to be sorted. (Rankings and results are shown with the fav being highlighted in orange).

Needs a bit of tweaking with regards to the ratings and how many paramaters are assessed.

For example the 5:40 at Catterick, one paramater cannot be assessed, (weight,insufficient info), but still quite reliable as it shows the fav ranked 5th, and it came 2nd at 11/4, Similarly, the 2:40 at Nottingham, one paramater cannot be assessed, (distance,insufficient info), fav ranked 11th, placed 6th at 3/1

However, if 2 or more paramaters cannot be assessed, (and this is where it needs tweaking), a horse is still ranked, but shouldn't be. The 8:05 at Newmarket and the 03:00 at Newcastle for instance. My way of thinking is that if you have insufficient info then it can't be acted upon.

There is a difference between "-" and zero. A "-" means insufficient info and a zero means that the horse has been assessed, but according to the ratings, it's just not very good at that particular paramater.
