Taking BSP

Postby FrenchHorn » Mon Nov 10, 2025 4:52 pm

Hi
I am trying to lay at BSP from an EXCEL worksheet.

I enter "LAY TAKE-SP" in the Command Column, BA. Which, as I understand it, should set up a Lay Bet to take BSP if unmatched
I enter "1.1" in the Odds column, BB, as I dont want the bet matched before off time.
I enter "1" in the stake column, BC, for a £1 stake.
The bet gets placed but remains unmatched even after the off time.
BSP is never taken.
Am I setting this up incorrectly or is there a setting I need to enable in Cymatic itself for this to work.

By the way a great App.

Thanks

Hi FrenchHorn,

Please note that not all events have a BSP and so this feature will only work on events that have BSP, such UK horse racing.

What type of event are you deploying this strategy onto and are you sure that the market has a BSP at the start of the event?

It could also be that the £1 stake might be less than the permitted stake to participate in the BSP. Have you tried doing this strategy with a larger stake. From memory, I vaguely recall that there might be a £10 minimum liability for lay bets that are to take the BSP.

Kind regards,

Gavin
