Hi Hussar2,

Are you referring to using the stoploss feature, the tick offset?

Kind regards,

Gavin

Hi hussar2,

I doubt that there is a bug in that part of the software, because it has been used by thousands of users of the last a decade. I think there must be a logical explanation. Are there any error messages, such as 'Invalid Persistence Type'?

If so, that error message might occur if for example you have set the bet persistence type to 'Take SP', it's the setting labelled as 'At In-Play'. For example, if you initiate bets with the At In-Play setting of 'Take-SP', then the opposing bet will try to be sent with the same type. So if the initiating bet is sent before the race/game starts, it will be a valid type of bet to send, but if it gets matched after the event starts play, then the opposing bet (which inherits the same persistence type as the initiating bet) could fail with the error message 'Invalid Persistence Type'. The answer is to choose 'Cancel' in the setting labelled as 'At In-Play' before you send the initiating bet.

When I say Bet Persistence Type, I'm referring to what happens to unmatched bets when they still exists in the moment when the race/game starts. It's the setting labelled as At In-Play.

This is just one possible explanation for the situation that you are describing. Please check the Error Log tab, to see if any such error messages appear.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Hi hussar2,

Does it happen every time, or just intermittently?

I understand that you do not see any error messages pop up. Could you please confirm that there are no messages in the Status Log tab.

Please also confirm what bet persistence setting you are using as per my previous message. Thanks.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Hi hussar2,

It sounds like the problem is that you must change PERSIST to CANCEL, in the 'At In-Play' setting.

There are minimum bet sizes for bets that PERSIST (i.e. take the SP). So it is possible that the offset bets are being triggered, but then when the race starts they are being deleted by Betfair because they do not exceed the minimum liability for bets to participate in the SP.

So either change the setting as mentioned above, or use bet sizes that will exceed the minimum liability for the Betfair SP. I seem to recall that it is a minimum liability of £10 for lay bets to take the Betfair SP and not be deleted.

I may have misunderstood your messages. If so, please let me know.

Kind regards,

Gavin
