Cymatic Trader for Brazilian users

Postby madsoncordeiro » Sat Apr 19, 2025 9:24 am

Hello, everyone.

I'm from Brazil and I wanted to know if there will be any updates to Cymatic Trader that will cover users in Brazil, who are going through government regulation in the betting market and are now using a new site:

Currently, I'm unable to use Cymatic Trader, because the option of the site we use here in Brazil to log in doesn't appear. Only the following options appear:

Betfair.com (was the site we Brazilians used before the current government regulation)
Betfair.com.au
Betfair.ro
Betfair.se

Best regards.

Hi madsoncordeiro,

I read that Betfair paid the license fee in Brazil in December 2024.

I am not aware of the alternative website that you mentioned but it has a different top level domain and so it doesn't look like a legitimate site run by Betfair, so I have removed it from your message.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Hello, Gavin.

So, the site we used here in Brazil was: Betfair.com

However, after the new government regulation of betting here in Brazil, bookmakers and exchanges (after paying the license fee), had to follow a standard address (link), which is precisely the following (.bet.br):
www.companyname.bet.br

PS.: Companies, after this new regulation, are obliged to require the location of their users to identify if they are really in Brazil. Otherwise, browsing will be blocked by a warning on the screen, and users will not be able to access the site's features, such as betting and games.

HI madsoncordeiro,

Thank you very much for explaining the regulatory changes in Brazil. I have checked the Betfair API documentation and it still doesn't include an option to login to the API with an alternative domain name address. So, unfortunately, I think this means that it will not be possible to use the API in Brazil unless Betfair are able to change that in the future.

Kind regards,

Gavin
