Meaning of "runnerld"

Postby Mweyawa » Tue Mar 25, 2025 1:56 pm

Hi Gavin,
On the drop-down menu under each horse's name, what does "runnerld" mean please? I apologise if you explain it in the manual, but I couldn't find it there. With many thanks and best wishes, David

Hi Gavin, I think you must have missed my request to explain what "runnerld" means on the drop-down menu under each horse? I've looked everywhere, including on Betfair and the internet, but can't find what it means. With many thanks and best wishes, David

Hi David,

Sorry for my late reply.

I can't find the menu that you are referring to. I thought that perhaps you meant the menu inside the ladder, but I can't find a mention of runnerId in there.

Anyway, runnerId is just the unique ID given to each horse (i.e. the item that you are betting on).

So it's not a number that you really need to focus on. Just focus on the name of the horse, or greyhound, etc for manual betting.

The runnerId might be included in Excel spreadsheets, because it is the truly unique identifier for a selection, which could be useful to someone programming in Excel.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Thank you very much, Gavin, and, as you say, no use for choosing suitable bets. I misread "ID" for "LD", otherwise I'd have realised what ID was. Re. the drop-down menu, if you go to the race card and hover over the horse's name, the menu will drop down. Don't click on the horse's name because that won't work. Just hover over its name. Hope that helps. With best wishes, David

Hi David,

Ah yes, I know the place you mean in the software now. Thanks for confirming.
