If I leave Cymatic running unattended and Betfair logs me out, I think that the software tries to reconnect automatically. But as I use 2-step authentication the reconnection fails. After five attempts Betfair locks the account and I have to go through the pain of getting Livechat to send me a reset password link, which takes ages.
Is there any way to limit the reconnection attempts or as a last resort turn them off?

That is a very good question! Unfortunately there is no option for you to turn that off in the software at present.

Personally I don't use 2 step authentication for accounts that are doing automated trading, even with fairly high balances. Perhaps you might consider either turning it off completely in your Betfair account, or just turning it off when you know you will be setting up an automated trading session. It is quick and easy to instantly turn it on/off in your Betfair account. I can see the merits of it, but I think it is perhaps a little bit of an overkill for a Betfair account to be honest.
