The following announcement has been recently made by Betfair:

Please be aware, that due to recent regulatory developments, we’ll be removing the ability for customers based in Cyprus to view or place bets on horse racing and greyhound markets from tomorrow, 1st November.

Unfortunately, we’ve been required to implement both of the above changes at very short notice, so sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

Unfortunately Betfair have made the following announcement:

"The blocking of Cyprus customers will now take place from the 14th April" (2017)

A subsequent message from Betfair indicated that blocking would probably begin on 22nd May 2017:

"Please be aware, that due to recent regulatory developments we are likely to be blocking customers based in Cyprus from accessing the Betfair Exchange by the 22nd May.

Affected customers will be advised of this directly in a communication due to be sent out on the 15th May."
