To Kevin

I would like to ask if installing Cymantic on VPS allows you to connect to Excel on your home computer, or if we should also install Excel on VPS.

A few years ago / post above / Kevin promised to act as an intermediary in establishing a VPS in GB with a good connection to Betfair - is the case still current?

How to technically set up a server on Amazon, how to install Cymatic there and how to run a remote desktop to connect to Betfair?

Currently, I use a VPN, but sometimes I log in from places where direct connection is prohibited, therefore I do not want to use the help of an IT specialist who would set up a server for me on Amazon, installed Cymatic there and connected to a remote desktop.

VPN is impractical despite the different API settings. The combination of the Cymatic itself allows you to somehow trade on the stock exchange, but connecting to this video, Odds Recorder or other Excel applications that help me in trading already causes delays in accepting bets 5-8 seconds. It is impossible to play. API must be set to 3000-5000.
Sorry for english, i use google translate.

Good evening Edward,

You would need to install Excel on the VPS, not on the home computer.

I was thinking about offering VPS servers as a service, but have not done that yet.

I have used Amazon servers in the past. They require you to understand how to use Amazon Web Services, which takes a bit of getting used to at first. They also don't allow sending emails unless you use the special Amazon email service. So some features of the Cymatic software can't be used unless you subscribe to the Amazon email service too. Cymatic software can send report by email, which helps you monitor your connection to Betfair when trading using robots, i.e. unattended on a remote PC.
So you'd probably find that using Amazon is a bit of a hassle. I don't use it anymore myself. Perhaps you'd find things a lot easier if you chose another hosting company instead, there are lots to choose from.

Are you saying that you want to pay someone a consultancy fee to set that up for you and show you how to login to it remotely?

I don't use VPNs because of the reasons you describe. It is best to use a rented server in a remote data center, such as either a VPS (Virtual Private Server), or a Cloud Server (similar to a VPS) or a dedicated server (a bit overkill for most people).

Kind regards,

This article: Link removed by moderator will be useful to you, I picked up a suitable VPN master there, and had no more problems with it.

In general, these days it is no longer shameful to use third-party services to bypass bans and block sites.

I like to watch Netflix, although it is blocked in my country, so I have to use a VPN service. I change them from time to time, because it seems to me that they start to work worse (I choose from this article with a comparison link removed by moderator)

But I think that the blocking policy, especially between countries, should not affect creativity. Immoral resources should be banned.
