Sort Order

Ideas for new features. All suggestions are very welcome, thank you.

Sort Order

Postby Blotman » Wed May 20, 2020 2:32 am

Hi Gav/ACT

When I move to new market I much prefer to view ascending odds. Instead of having to manually sort each one, could an option not be made available in settings that can check this to default?

Hi Blotman,

I'll have to look into that for possible inclusion in a future version, but yes I expect that it should be feasible.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Grid (& Ladder) selections order.

Postby snowman » Sun May 24, 2020 11:06 am

I would always like to see the runners listed in 'Odds Order', when it comes to greyhound racing, or Aussie/ USA horse racing. Do I have to hit the blue settings cog, on the grid, to choose that option, on every race, or is it possible to have the software do it by default please?

Hi Dave and Blotman,

Thanks for your suggestion. That feature will definitely be included in the next version of Cymatic (not yet released). I've tested it, but am not quite ready to release the next Cymatic version today.

It will work like this:

1. As soon as you change the sorting order (for example to sort by 'Odds'), that choice will be saved for the rest of the session and applied to each new market that you select. Please note that the setting isn't saved when you close the program (that might be added later), so you'll just need to choose it once each time you open the program.

2. Your sorting choice will only be applied automatically to horse racing and greyhounds. It is restricted to those event types, because it wouldn't look right to change the order of various other markets such as football correct score, asian handicaps, match odds, etc.

3. It won't change the order of the runners in Excel or in the drop down list in the ladder, both of which will remain in the same order as the Betfair website. It might be possible to change the order in the ladder at a later date.

The next version is quite close to being released.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Thank you Gavin,
Once per session is MUCH better than having to do it on EVERY race.

Kind Regards

Good morning,

The sort order is now saved as mentioned above. The feature has now been added in the new version of Cymatic (v6.15.0.0) that was released today.

The full release notes are here:
Release notes v6.15.0.0

Thanks again for suggesting it. It works much nicer like that.

As usual, the software will update itself next time you open it.

Kind regards,

Gavin
