Hi Gavin,

For the last couple of days bets I have submitted are not being fully executed.
For example when the command "BACK OFFSET1 GREEN FILLORKILL10" is triggered from excel, only the back part is sent.
The offset part doesn't happen and it fails to kill after 10 seconds.
This also occurs when sending the bet manually from the grid.
The problem is intermittent and occurs with both streaming and polling, and appears to have started since the recent Cymatic upgrades.

1. Live or demo mode?

2. Can you give any estimate of how intermittent it is? One in a dozen bets, or one in a few hundred...?

3. Do prices appear to stop refreshing at the same time?

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the Prompt reply.
It happens in both modes, and also the stop loss does not work and neither does the partial.
It happens almost every other race and whether or not I have excel connected.
I didn't notice the prices stop refreshing.
I have tried using a different PC but it's still the same.

OK thanks, but were the failed orders always submitted via Excel only, or does it happen when you submit fill-or-kill orders without using Excel to submit them?

Just checking because I wasn't sure if you sent the orders via Excel, then disconnected it.

Edit: sorry I just saw that you said it also occurs when using just the grid.

Hi Tony,

Please can we try to narrow it down a bit more, to see if all those things are linked or not. As far as I can tell you are saying that the following aspects are not working as expected:

Partial (offset)
Full offset
Stop loss
Fill or kill

That is 4 things. Does issues arise for you when they are all turned on, for example is there never a fault if fill-or-kill is turned off for example.

I have been trying to reproduce it but so far everything looks completely normal and I can't find a fault.

Please try going to the File Menu | Settings | API Refresh, and change the 'Conflation' value from 0 to 500ms.

1. Let's see if that takes the pressure off your internet connection, in case the problem relates to data not getting to you from the Betfair exchange (for example if your bet updates are sometimes being lost).

2. If the problem still occurs with the conflation value set to 500ms, then trying switching back to polling instead of streaming (on the same page of settings).

Does 1. solve it and if not how about 2?

Hi Gavin.

At the moment I am using polling and the command is either:-
"BACK OFFSET1 GREEN FILLORKILL10" or
"LAY OFFSET1 GREEN FILLORKILL10" depending on conditions
I have partial ticked in the global settings.
All that is happening is the initial bet is being matched, no offset is being placed
so I have to green manually.
I will have a go with the conflation set at 500ms tomorrow.

Do you know if the problem only happens when an initial bet is matched instantly, or does it only happen when the price you chose causes the bet to spend a few seconds working in the market as an unmatched bet and then gets matched passively before it is killed? I have tried various combinations but can't reproduce the problem.

So, thus far I have been unable to reproduce. I only tried using streaming so far, because you indicated that it occurs regardless of whether you are using streaming or polling.

What type of market?

Hi Gavin,

I have altered the conflation setting to 500ms and traded the last 2 greyhound races
using streaming. The initial bet was matched immediately and the offset was placed
and matched and greened up correctly in both races. I will continue monitoring
Tomorrow and let you know the results.

Hi Gavin,

The problem was occurring in horse and greyhound markets, both UK and Australia
in the pre-play markets.
