Error using VPN

Postby tony95 » Thu Nov 02, 2017 11:51 am

Hi Guys,
I have recently started using a VPN when connected to Cymatic.
I am placing bets through a connected Excel sheet and keep getting "Error Bet Failure" in the status column, whilst at
the bottom of the Cymatic page it saya "Inssufficient Funds",
Any Ideas?

Cheers

Hi Tony95,

It means that there are not enough funds in your Betfair account to cover the exposure of the bets.

Please note that if you are trying to send 'back' bets for less than the minimum stake (<£2) that you must still have at least £2 in your Betfair account.

Kind regards,

Gavin

Hi Gavin'
Thanks for the reply.
There was plenty of funds in my Betfair account, and
the problem disappeared when I disconnected the VPN.

Oh I see, sorry for my confusion. In that case it does sound strange.

Does it occur every time you try to make a bet when logged in via a VPN, or was it a one-off isolated incident?

Are you sure that the funds had not been temporarily tied up by bets on the previous race which was yet to settle?

Is the VPN on a UK based IP address?

Kind regards,

Gavin

Hi Gavin,

Thanks for the reply.
There are definitely sufficient funds available.
The error has only occurred a couple of times so far,
so I will monitor it for a while.
One thing I have noticed on the VPN dashboard is under the visible location
it normally gives an IP address and physical location, but on occasion
I have noticed that this changes to "locating". Could that be the reason?
